COVID-19 UPDATE

Bristol Charities continues to operate during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Although our Head Office is shut and most of our Head Office staff are working from home, you can contact us by email or by phone on our Head Office phone number 0117 930 0301. We continue to run our Almshouses and Extra Care scheme, with staff on site. Our Grants Programme is running, please keep checking our website for details of when we are accepting applications for Grants. Although our Community Development for Older People Projects remain on hold for now, we hope to start activities again soon when it is safe to do so.

You recently donated £120 to my mother, who has a damaged spine and neck; making sleeping very painful.

I got a memory foam from Bristol Bed Maker with other funds to make up the shortfall. It is wonderful!!! Thank you so much it really makes a difference!

How to Apply & Furniture/White Goods Catalogs

COVID-19 UPDATE:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to covid-19 delays, furniture items can have a lead time of up to 4 weeks.

With regards to white goods - we are unable to guarantee you will receive the same model you may have picked from the white goods catalogue but you will receive an item with the same specification or an upgrade for the same price. If you wish to receive the model picked from the catalogue, there may be a lead time of 8 -14 weeks.

How to Apply:

As we are unable to award a grant directly to an applicant, a sponsor from a professional background must first be nominated to apply on the applicant's behalf. This can be a social worker, support worker, housing officer or a healthcare professional etc. (If you are a sponsor please see the "Registering as an approved sponsor" section underneath the Grants heading)

Once your chosen sponsor has been nominated and approved by us, they will receive an online application form that your sponsor will need to complete on your behalf. Once the application has been submitted, we will inform you of the outcome by post.

If you have been successful, the grant offer letter will ask you to select your item from the catalogues below. Once you have confirmed your item, the supplier will be in contact to arrange delivery of your item.

If your grant has been successful for flooring, we will pass your details to Kustom Floors & Furnishings, who will attend to measure up and bring samples along with them for you to choose from.
