Relief in Need Charity
Bristol Charities administers two grant-giving charities - Relief in Need and Relief in Sickness.
Bristol Charities’ Relief in Need Fund. This fund was formed in April 2001, with the following objects:
- The object of the charity is the relief of persons resident in the City of Bristol who are in need, hardship or distress
- Bristol Charities may relieve persons in need by:
a. making grants of money to them; or b. providing or paying for goods, services or facilities for them; or c. making grants of money to other persons of bodies who provide goods, services or facilities to those in need.
- In exceptional cases Bristol Charities may decide to assist some (who is otherwise qualified) who is:
a. resident outside the City of Bristol; or b. only temporarily resident in the City of Bristol
